Background and Experience

Ariel L. Furst is the Paul M. Cook Career Development Assistant Professor of Chemical Engineering at MIT. Her research focuses on developing innovative technologies to advance human and environmental health, with a mission to make access to critical resources more equitable. The Furst Lab integrates electrochemical, biological, and materials engineering approaches to investigate electron transfer at abiotic-biotic interfaces.

Professor Furst is also a co-founder of Seia Bio, a tough-tech startup driving advancements in regenerative agriculture.
