Metal-Organic Frameworks Mediated Macromolecule Delivery System

This invention presents articles and methods for administering biomolecules to subjects using metal-organic frameworks, addressing challenges associated with oral delivery in the gastrointestinal (GI) tract. The article consists of a substrate with an adhesive layer, a support layer, and an active material containing a composite of a metal-organic framework and a biomolecule. By overcoming the harsh conditions of the GI tract, this innovation provides an improved method for treating subjects with therapeutic biomolecules, ensuring their efficacy is maintained throughout oral administration.
