Kevin McGough

Background and Experience

Kevin previously served as the IP Transactions and Infectious Disease IP Lead at BioNTech, where his transactional work involved a number of deals of material importance to the Company. Before BioNTech, Kevin was Vice President, IP at Takeda and Shire, and Assistant Counsel at Merck. In addition to these corporate roles, he has represented a wide variety of clients in private practice and founded a law firm focused on licensing and acquisition-related IP due diligence. He has spoken on IP-related topics at various forums including the Fordham IP Institute and the ABA Annual Meeting, served as an expert witness on patent law in federal district court litigations, and has published in journals including the Harvard Journal of Law & Technology. Kevin holds LL.M., J.D., M.Ch.E. and B.Ch.E. degrees and is admitted to practice law in various state and federal courts and the U.S.PTO.
