Background and Experience

Jim is a seasoned technology transfer professional with extensive experience in evaluating and protecting life sciences inventions. Before joining MIT, he served as Director of Licensing at CU Innovations, where he led a team providing research, licensing, and startup support. His career also includes roles at Partners Healthcare Innovations, Conversant IP Management, Rembrandt IP Management, Real Clear Intelligence, and BTG International, where he led their global technology acquisition efforts. Jim's expertise spans patent sourcing, licensing, enforcement, technology assessment, and global team management, with a hospital background in medical physics. His goal is to facilitate the effective translation of valuable life science technology into impactful products and solutions.
