Christina Hedberg

Background and Experience
Christina leverages her expertise to drive business development efforts aimed at facilitating licensing transactions for MIT inventions, enabling their commercialization by businesses. She plays a crucial role in fostering the creation of biotech startups and out-licensing MIT's life science innovations, with a specialization in biopharmaceuticals and synthetic biology. Before joining MIT, Christina gained in depth experience working in entrepreneurial biotech companies, and most recently served as a trusted advisor to senior executives at life science companies, offering guidance on business strategy, growth, scaling, M&A, pipeline expansion, partnering, R&D, and operations. Christina's previous experience includes the role of Executive Director at United Therapeutics Corporation. Christina's educational background includes a BS in Chemistry from UMass and an MBA from The International Institute for Management Development (IMD) in Lausanne, Switzerland.
