Background and Experience
Alan is a patent attorney with nearly twenty years of experience managing and developing patent portfolios. Before joining the TLO, he represented clients in private practice and previously served as a patent examiner at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He has prosecuted and litigated patents in fields such as robotics, surgical and drug-delivery devices, semiconductors, and aerospace systems. Alan received his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh, where he served as a managing editor of the University of Pittsburgh Law Review and was a Samuelson/Glushko Fellow. He holds a B.S. in mechanical engineering from Virginia Tech.
