Abbey Blake

Background and Experience

As an undergraduate student at MIT, Abbey studied Chemical-Biological Engineering and Biology. After MIT, she briefly worked in semiconductor manufacturing before earning her Ph.D. in Metabolic Biology through a joint graduate program between UC Berkeley and UCSF.

Abbey’s research background spans molecular biology, genetics, CRISPR-based functional genomics, viral delivery, neuroscience, and metabolic biology. She loves learning about science and is excited to keep expanding the range of technologies and ideas she gets to engage with. Abbey recently studied for and passed the USPTO registration exam and ultimately hopes to pursue a career in patent prosecution.
