Approved Vendors for MIT Merchandising

We work with MIT Communications Initiatives to review and approve designs for MIT-branded merchandise that can be ordered from an approved vendor.

Design Submission and Approval

In order to produce MIT-branded merchandise, all designs must be approved. Our merchandise team assists with:

  • Review of proposed designs for MIT-branded merchandise
  • Permission to use an MIT mark
  • Requests for high-resolution files of the MIT logo and seal
  • Licensing information
  • Questions about the appropriate placement of the ® or ™ symbols
  • Questions about these design guidelines
  • Assistance with logo file formats

Note: For new licensees, we may request a production sample using the actual manufacturing process and materials to review the production quality upon design approval.

We make our best effort to respond to design submissions within 3 to 5 business days. According to MIT’s trademark license agreement, MIT has 14 days to respond to your design submission.

MIT's Approved Vendors

We have four approved vendors who can assist with merchandise for your club, event, or DLC (department, lab, or center). These vendors have a relationship with the TLO and understand the MIT style guidelines, allowing you to get branded merchandise in a timely manner. Reach out to the vendor directly to inquire about MIT goods.

4Imprint

  • Integrated into MIT’s Buy2Pay system under “Additional Stores”, allowing you to browse the store as normal, but save a step by checking out within the B2P system.
  • Offers a 10% discount on MIT goods

QRST’s

  • Small Somerville screen-printing and embroidery business located about one mile from MIT’s campus.
  • Customer-supplied apparel to print and embroider on is accepted. 
  • Mention you are ordering from an MIT group for a 10% discount.
